"I chose Cape Town because I wanted to gain experience as a social worker in a new and diverse country. The opportunity to intern at Baphumelele and work with the people I have has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. My internship site allowed me to gain real-world experience with a diverse population, which has helped me to grow professionally and personally. Overall, I loved being able to run group sessions for the amazing individuals in the child-headed household program. It was extremely rewarding and humbling to be able to teach them new things and learn new things myself.

I have loved living in Cape Town these past three months for many reasons, but mainly because of the atmosphere. I have never lived in a place quite like Cape Town, as it is so welcoming and diverse. For these reasons, and many more, I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking for new experiences."
